During the 08/09 winter season, I worked with Jon Olsson. During this time, I did Jon's video blog (http://www.jon-olsson.com). Here is some footage from the blog, put together in tradition ski movie style. Keep in mind that I put 100% into the video blog, so this was not planned.Enjoy! - Josh Knox

Voleurz' Look on the Bright Side is arguably the feel good action-sports movie of the year. With their usual blend of happy go lucky snowboarding, skiing and an extensive and technical skateboarding segment, Voleurz once again has conquered their quest to do their part in helping break down barriers between action sports with their most unique and entertaining film yet. Highlights include action-packed segments from snowboarders Barry Hartman, Braden Dean, Justin VDP and Shayne Zwickel; a trip to Sweden with Canada's top freeskiers TJ Schiller, Ian Cosco and Justin Dorey; skateboard segments from Vancouvers rising talent Tyler Holm and Corey Klim; and a mid-summer heli shoot at the Camp of Champions on the Blackcomb glacier.
Voleurz' That's Fine documents the antics and exploits of the infamous Voleurz Family, comprised of skiers, snowboarders and skateboarders, making the multi-sport offering one of the most well-rounded and diverse films in the action sports world. Highlights include snowboarder Justin VDP slaying pillow lines in the Whistler backcountry, freeskier KC Deane's jaw-dropping big mountain segment, a raucous urban trip to Ontario with Scott Sych & Matt Brindisi, the unique style of one of skiing's most imaginative individuals, Max Hill (along with the highly entertaining return of Max Hill vs The Intern), skateboarding the streets of Vancouver with Tyler Holm, and of course, the hilarious and not-to-be-missed Winter Volympics. As voted by fans, That?s Fine won Best Web Video of 2011 on ESPN. That?s Fine is proudly supported by Faction skis, Kombi gloves, Line Skis, and features KC Deane, Justin VDP, Max Hill, Braden Dean, Simon D'Artois, Mack Jones, Rob Heule, Tyler Holm, Riley Leboe, Billy Mitchell, Matt Brindisi, Warren Williams, Colston VB, Josh Bibby, Jake Black, Joe Schuster, Josh Stack, Scott Sych, Shayne Zwickel, Cam Schuster, Matty Richard, Corey Klim, Andrew Jackson, Dylan Stack, Jan Schuster, Ian 'Chug' Cosco and The Intern.

GONZO is the new ski flick produced by the french ski movie production, GPSY Feelin. You?ll find behind this short film the motivation of a solid crew of childhood friends and their efforts throughout 10/11 winter to bring you today their third film. More than a title the word « gonzo » hides a story. Hunter S. Thompson was the journalist who invented the journalistic style known as « gonzo » which consists of an ultra-subjective investigation made up of stories told in first person narrative. His particularity was informing the reader of the nature and intensity of a given fact, even if doing so required him to deform this reality to a certain extent, which he did by exploiting the visual and by choosing an angle which was creatively sarcastic. His work is the inspiration behind this film, a tribute to this reactionary writer and adventurer who dedicated his life to his work and to scandal, shock value and protest before finally putting an end to his life in February 2005. The idea behind this project was to look at our lives and life style, at our passion and what makes up our little world with a critical eye, to evoke a few home truths about the economics behind the cult system and at the real issues as they stand today. Let yourself be guided by the film?s inner voice, accompanied by instrumental music in keeping with the simplicity of images which are a glimpse of skiing as we see it and of the lifestyle we cherish...not to mention a few sensual curves that have nothing to do with mountains !!
Moment Productions is proud to imprint its very own perspective on the freeskiing world by presenting a fictive skiing short story. Get Creative. /// A short film by Nicolas Guy-Caron /// Featuring the talent of Nicholas Chenard, Greg Berneche, Steven Normandin, Charles St-Germain, Louis-Victor Pomerleau Surprenant, Sébastien Devaux, Jonathan Devaux, Philippe Allard, Alex Lemay, Francis Simard, LC Pilon, Mick Dion, Philippe Lauzon, Maxime St-Onge & friends /// Cinematography by Nicolas Guy-Caron, Christophe Fortin & Thomas Fontaine /// Title animation by Simon Jacques /// Supported by http://www.newschoolers.com /// http://www.moment-productions.com

We started the season without a real goal, just shooting stuff without knowing what we were going to do with it. Eventually a movie fell into place. The name "Album" came about from the idea that something cannot be completely understood without the whole of it being taken in. Even though ski movies are often just a montage of shots with no real continuity or progressing purpose, much like in music, an album does not have to follow continuity while still telling a story or giving a sense of arrival.
Breaking the mold that has dictated the ski film industry since its birth, Chaoz Productions is proud to present their fourth movie, "Broken Record". Variation being the name of the game, Broken Record sees the debut of many female riders, big mountain skiing and other athletes as members of the Chaoz family. Last winter we decided to filmed us ski for real in glades, powder lines and on drop in our home mountain SkiBromont to show our skiing skills and how we exploited the territory of a mountain of only 565 meters with a poor amount of snow each year. When you want to ride untouched snow, you better know where to go and be prepared. I hope it will change your perspective on SkiBromont and understand the potential of this wonderfull place.

Good Enough presents "The Bare Minimum" We set out at the beginning of the season with the goal of making a movie, as you could imagine our already high motivation levels mixed with unusually high snowfall totals in and around the Tahoe area led us to produce this masterpiece. We apologize in advance.
Produced, Directed, Filmed and Edited by Jules Guarneri & Marc Vertesi Additional Footage by Julien Roserens, David Schaller & Sam Hoffman Awone Again follows a crew of friends which all have the same passion : Freeskiing. Track them through the deep powder of Switzerland's western backcountry, to the best North-American and Spanish snowparks, passing over different urban environments. This film features their season and how much fun they had during the winter, as fun and pleasure are their only motivation. There's no money involved, only friendship and the passion of shooting tons of slams and teenagers sliding down steep slopes or kinky handrails before getting kicked out.
Winter can be relentless. Conditions can change on a dime and spoil our favorite season of the year just quickly as we can get from the top of the lift to the bottom. This is a feeling far too familiar to us in Norway. Every year is a fight to make the best of the cards we?re dealt, a battle against the will of the heavens to reap the benefits of our beloved season. It?s a war that has lasted as long as the sport itself, but it?s a war we will never lose! As a celebration of the resilience of our sport, Chaoz Productions is proud to present their fifth movie, ?Turbulent Flow?! Come explore the Norwegian winter through the eyes of the greatest talent around as they push every aspect of modern freeskiing to its limits! From the city streets and a world-class pipe to colossal peaks and mammoth kickers, the battle rages on all fronts as Eivind Aurstad leads a cast of new and familiar faces head-on into one of the most troublesome winters ever. The Norwegian winter will always be turbulent, but we shall fight on the streets, we shall fight in the mountains, and we shall never surrender!
