Last fall, instead of waiting around for the snow to fly in the states, McRae packed up and headed to Austria with the US Freeskiing team to prepare for the season ahead. Just one hour from the beautiful city of Innsbruck lies the Stubai Glacier, host of the Prime Park Sessions and the biggest jumps in the world that time of year. It is here that McRae would spend the next two weeks getting comfortable in the air again, and possibly learning a trick or two. The mountains were absolutely incredible, with tall jagged peaks towering about steep narrow valleys, definitely a sight to see.

One of the best summers Elias Ambühl had, with skiing. He started of in Zermatt to get used to the snow again. He said: "The rail park was one of the best I was ever skiing in the summer" After that he went down to New Zealand and Australia with Jonas Hunziker. The first two weeks in Cardrona, New Zealand, were amazing with the weather. They had a really good training time and in the end of the New Zealand trip they competed at the NZ freeski open, where Elias ended up on the 4th and Jonas on the 5th place. Then they went to Perisher Australia. They were saying:" For us, Perisher was more of a summer slushy shred". Again there almost just was good weather. In the end of the NZ and Australia trip, both did the first BIG AIR of the season. Jonas missed the podium by one spot and ended up 4th and Elias took home the 1st place. Elias: "I could not be more stoked to start the season with a podium". End of september the Freestyle.ch took place again in Zürich Switzerland. For Elias it's one of the biggest competition of the year, because it's in front of his home crowed. He's always pretty busy over this weekend but still focus on the competition. He ended up on the 5th place and missed the finals by 0.6 points. Elias:" I was pretty sad, because I thought, I was skiing really well, but that's our sport and next time maybe I will get 0.6 points more". But he was saying, that in total the competition and the whole summer was amazing and he can't wait for the Winter. Enjoy some of his summer skiing in this edit.
