In a few days time, Rosa Khutor, the host mountain for all alpine events of the 2014 Sochi Olympics will bare witness to its first ever freeskiing halfpipe competition, the FIS World Cup. Far from being prepared, Sochi and the surrounding area is a 24 hour construction zone. Andreas Håtveit was definitely the most confused competitor of the day, after landing a super solid first run he was given a very low score, leaving him in an unsafe 6th position after the first runs. He essentially put down the same run in the second round - including creative rails and a bunch of dubs - and was given a score of 91.33, almost 20 points higher than his first run

See rising star Luca Tribondeau win the Austrian Champions at the Austrian Freeski Open in Kitzsteinhorn, one of the longest running freeski events in Europe. In perfect blue bird conditions and on an amazing slopestyle course, humble Luca absolutely slayed it and deservedly took home the Austrian title. Andreas Håtveit and Gus Kenworthy took 4th and 5th respectively in one of the most competitive Open finals ever witnessed on European soil.
