Suffering a tragic and unexpected loss when skiing's unabashed maverick and Harlaut's friend Tom Warnick passed away early season, Harlaut started his wildest contest season yet: defending X-games gold, throwing Wu-tang signs in Russia during the premiere of slopestyle at the Olympics, and organizing his first ever invitational event with his brother, Phil Casabon. "Looking back at this year is so crazy for me," Harlaut says. "But I had the most fun and it'll all be exposed in 'The Road to Zion."After the craziness of the Olympics filming finally started Finland, Austria, Italy and back to Colorado, jet-setting back Europe for the premiere B&E inventational event and finishing it all off up in northern Sweden.

X-Games 2013 With Henrik Harlaut

I felt like it was going to be a good year for me at X-games in Aspen this year so i decided to try document as much as possible from around the event, and with a simulair feel as when i edited my "Day in Life" last year, not only showcase the skiing and try to show more of the behind the scenes then you usally get to see. Much much thank to Corey Staton for hooking up a ton of the footage and to Tanner Hall & Taylor Seaton for filming all the GoPro shots during the Big air! Skiing legend Tanner Hall is back with his long awaited ski film Ring The Alarm.

Tanner and Shane spent the last 2 summers editing over 11 hours of footage down to just 38minutes of the absolute best shots. Henrik Harlaut NZ 2013

Another summer down in New Zealand is done and as always I had a blast! This time it was a little different as Snowpark, NZ was closed (where I usally spend all my time filming/skiing) and instead had to ski Cardrona. But me and my good friend Taylor Seaton still manged to do some filming even though a tight schedule with Slopestyle, Halfpipe and Big mountain comps and photo shoots. This is what I got out of it!
