Got to spend my first 5 days on snow last season with Batalla Skis! Had a blast getting back on skis after a long summer and meeting new people. Enjoy!

Took the Batalla All Mtn Twins for a spin today. The snowmakers had built some crazy drops and soft snow over the past day or two so decided to send some today.
The biggest snowfall this season hit on 3/5/2015 here in south central Pa. It allowed me to hit some lines on the mountain that; one, are known for getting there passes clipped for doing and two, I've had my eyes on but there is never enough snow to hit. But I had the best day of the season ripping on the Batalla All Mtn Twins!!
Here's to another ski season. This one will stick out as one of my most memorable seasons. I tore my ACL, Medial Meniscus and Lateral Meniscus in the 13/14 season. I did physical therapy for 10 months to get back on skis for this season. Words can't describe how thankful and gracious I am to have had the chance to get back on the slopes with all my buddies. With a trip or two to Co, Pa day trips, and park/pow days at Ski Roundtop; it was a complete season in my book. Thanks to TJ and Kyle at Batalla Skis, John Schimansky at Knee Bindings, and Sean Pearsall at Under Armour for all that you did to make my come back season a success! God Bless!

So, I am 28 years old now, a husband, and dad of 2. There has been a lot that has changed in my life the past few years but my passion for skiing has remained the same. This fall, I came up with the idea to put together a short "webseries" to continue to share my passion as a skier and now a Dad... well at least try too. My son is 15 months old and I hope to share the passion of skiing with him in the future. I made him his first pair of skis this fall, completely custom, even the bindings. Between the unpredictability of life as a parent and weather of the East Coast, it will be a challenge. Here is episode number one, of hopefully three, of "Laps With Dad" for the 18/19 ski season.

Sooo... I finally got around to finishing up this final episode for the season... better late than never I guess. Thank you to everyone who took the time to watch the series this year. Hello Everyone! My boy Witten and I are excited for another ski season together. In this episode Dad makes Witten new skis, Witten gets his first day on snow for the season and Dad gets a few hot laps in on a rainy, foggy Saturday morning, as Mom graciously watches the kids for a couple hours. Hey everyone! I just want to thank everyone who watches LWD. Its is such a fun way to introduce skiing to my kids and will give us something to look back on in the future. To add to that, it also allows Me (Dad) to keep sharing my passion of skiing. I would like to thank Brennon Sloan, Tim Bonus, and Sean Burkholder for filming me this season. It is safe to say LWD wouldn't be possible without you guys lending a hand! A special shout out to Sean Burkholder for being my ski buddy the past two season. It has been so fun and motivating skiing lap for lap filming each other. It ain't easy getting time on the slopes these days, 20 days maybe. We make it count when we get the time. It is ski season once again in PA! We received our first snow on December 12th and made the most of it. My daughter Rilynn experiences her first runs and Witten sleds in the back yard. It's been a very busy month or two but here is Episode 2 of Season 3 of Laps With Dad. Witt hits is first jump and Rilynn strives to perfect her mobility on skis and Dad assists with dialing in some jumps and takes some park laps. Hype Dad, Matt Stambaugh, takes a few laps and spins his first jump in 5 years!
Well the season is over here in PA. In the last week, in three consecutive days we had a cloudy/super slush day, a rainy/ slush day, and a very windy/icy day. But here on the East Coast that is the norm, so there is no excuse but to go ski! Thank you for tuning into a another season of Laps With Dad, see you next winter!!

Its been a slow start to the 21/22 ski season. It is great to be back and the kids are starting the season off strong. In this episode Dad makes the annual pilgrimage to the Jark to hike some tubes and makes a trip to Blue Mountain, PA to take some laps with good friend Jon Matalavage. Then the kids tackle the discovery area at Roundtop Mountain Resort for their first day on hill. Enjoy!

I had a slew of computer issues, lost projects, footage, corrupted files, etc. I gave up for awhile in making the the last episode for the 21/22 season.
