In early August, I got the opportunity to go and spend at week at Ohio Dreams Action Sports Camp in Butler, OH. I met a lot of cool people and learned a lot of new tricks. On the last day of camp, I decided to take the day off from skiing and film a little instead. Big thanks to Chris Ashcraft for hosting such an awesome camp and BoardSideDown Wax for protecting everyone's skis from the ramps.

Kolab Media presents their premiere ski film, Thrive. Thrive features the progressive nature of the sport of freeskiing at a younger age. With the majority of the crew still in high school, it was hard to get out and travel to different places to get to film with everyone involved. We had a great group of filmers all across the Americas helping us out with the footage we needed to put this together and make it a success. After having somewhat of a vote, we decided to release Thrive for free online, rather than only sell the DVD.

While we were in Aspen in later December, I got the chance to take a lap with Nate Berkel while I was waiting on the crew to arrive at Snowmass.
A recap of the first ever rail jam held under the lights at App Terrain Park. With 60 MPH winds and it being only 10 degrees, it was a rough one. Fortunately, the boys were able to put on a show! Big ups to Volcom, Electric Visual, Recess Rideshop, and App Terrain Park for making it all possible!

Ohio Dreams is where many careers have been started such as Nick Geopper, Spencer Milbocker, and Cody Ling. Make sure to check it out!
On June 2nd we took a trip up to Liberty Snowflex Centre in Lynchburg, VA with Kellan Baker to get a bit of summer skiing done as well as some filming. It was probably one of the most interesting trips as a whole that I've been on. Between watching Kellan throw down some sick stuff and breaking down in the middle of nowhere on the way home, it was a sick trip!
This season we got the chance to work with the southeast's most renowned skier, Berkley Wilcox. Not only was he the first to ever stop a dub in NC, but a switch dub on his second try. Berkley has become a great addition to the crew, and we look forward to putting out some more content with him next season. Look for him in our upcoming film! (Trailer dropping soon!)
We spent this season searching inside for what skiing really meant to us. This season really helped us investigate being one of the worst winters history has to offer. We spent the last season traveling as much as possible to do what we love to do the most. Ski. Throughout the season we learned that it's not about the trick or the gear, but the love and passion we hold for the sport and the fun involved while doing it. Skiing is the one thing in life that allows us to forget all of the stressors involved with everyday life and focus on having fun with our friends doing something we love.
