In this, the final episode from our experience in Peru, we plant the trees for the apple tree orchard, say goodbye to the people of Maras, and then head south to experience the Andes through another medium: our skis.

La Ola is the final installment of The FullCircle Projects trip to Chile that follows them as they continue to ski in the around Nevados de Chillan and revisit the coast. The Team also pays a visit to Perales, the old coastal town of our guide Chico where a house he built once stood close to the beach. All that is left is the stone floor, slowly being covered by the sands of the beach pushed inland by the force of the tsunami.

One of the "Tests" we all encounter at one point in life is an instance where your world as you perceive it comes crumbling down. Whether this is literal, in case of tens of thousands of Chileans, or figurative, with the athlete facing potential career ending injury. They are both devastating, they are both very real, and although the two are hardly comparable what they share is the very human trait: perseverance. It's a complicated, yet seemingly simple ultimatum; Do you hang up your skis, or do you rebuild?

Matt has been training hard almost everyday since getting clearance from his doctors in Salt Lake City back in May. Most days are spent getting his air sense back after being grounded for over 8 months.
