The week of Nov. 10-17 has been a doozy here in Utah. We haven't even ridden a chairlift yet and already we've logged some amazing days in some amazing snow. I've also been experimenting using my new Contour in a variety of creative ways.

Got up to the hill real early, hiked in for first chair on 6. Beat chair 1 to the top, and got first tracks of the season the whole way down!
The last week of november and first week of december. UT Backcountry, Grizzly Gulch, and a few Alta laps. Skiing by Collin Collins, Tyler Barnes, Brady Perron, and Witt Foster.
Andy Mahre gets some of the first tracks down the brand new terrain at White Pass, WA. This new expansion terrain doubles the size of White Pass's old terrain, making it the third largest ski area in Washington State. The lifts are now turning, so head on over to the Couloir Express to make some tracks of your own!

What would you do differently next time?
Well for the January edit we will have a lot more time to film. More footage from backcountry skiing, BC Booters, and my new snowmobile. Sun Valley Resort will have their big jump line up and the urban exploration begins.

How did you mount the camera?
Used the vented helmet mount and goggle mount for all POV shots. Had follow cam shots with a goggle mount and just holding the Contour.

From Contour user Traviswolfeskiing: This was my day one run from the 2011 Freeskiing World Tour comp that put me in 14th place. At first I was lost and did not know where I was but went for it and shortly after gained my bearings. I sent 2 30ft cliffs, which I stomped solidly and even got is some great pow turns.

This week, MSP takes us back to Alaska - this time to the largely unexplored North Tordrillo Mountains. Here in episode 7 we get a firsthand look at the monstrous AK terrain through the eyes of Mark Abma, Richard Permin, and Cody Townsend. After arriving first by floatplane to the remote Winterlake Lodge, the heli-enabled crew besieged the massive peaks and pioneered several new lines throughout the range.
