The Second Annual Nick Mota Invitational Offical Recap Video
Nick Mota, local Tahoe City resident and renowned Meat Cannon/Luge Expert worked for 7 days straight tirelessly building gypsy features with a crew of dedicated friends on the secret slopes of Tahoe Donner. What resulted was truly a spectacle of berms, banks, hips, rhythm jumps and poppy booters with a fair share of scary must-make gaps that together created what we all know as the course for the Second Annual Nick Mota Invitational. With one drop-in, the course split into two separate tracks; the "Meat Luge," a winding and twisting trail of rhythm jumps, 90 degree berm turns and a hip, and the "Meat Cannon," a line that showcased a near-vertical aerials-style jump, a death-defying 35' gap, and a gelande style high-speed sender. With this monstrous snow creation the stage was set for Tahoe's best skiers and riders to risk it all. It's hard to describe it in words, perhaps a video would do the trick.
