In collaboration with Newschoolers, the Nike Ski Chosen contest was a platform for amateur talent to get notice by the Nike team and join them on a team photo shoot. Dale Talkington and Andrew Napier out of Salt Lake City were hand selected by the Nike Ski team to join them on their end of year shoot in Keystone, Colorado. Here is the event recap courtesy of Poor Boyz Productions.

I designed and built two features in April for Nike; one at Mt. Hood Skibowl, the other at Mt. Bachelor. The Skibowl lift area set up had been an idea for a couple years and finally came together. A tricky build to say the least, but everything worked out perfectly. The Mt. Bachelor Peace Sign had been in the works for quite some time too. The Peace Sign was fairly simple, but the idea for the shot was a little more thought out. I wanted to have two skiers and one snowboarder on the feature at the same time, shot from above, using some sort of crane. I work with both skiers and snowboarders professionally and don't appreciate the negativity between the two. I hope Nate Abbott's photo of the Peace Sign will send a message that we are all in this for the same reason: to have fun no matter what you ride! These two resorts are very symbolic to me. Mt. Hood Skibowl was the first place I snowboarded over 25 years ago and Mt. Bachelor has been my home mountain for almost 20 years.
