After 3 months on the road with Hand Cut, the Sweetgrass crew is back in the mountains, filming deep winter in the woods of Hokkaido, Japan. From the gold and orange of fall to the pink blossoms of spring, the film will capture an entire season in one place, exploring it's people and culture. Hand hewn log home builders, snowsurf board shapers, the self-taught avalanche forecaster, and snowsliding in all it's various forms: board, noboard, ski, and drop-knee. Backcountry freeriding in self propelled style coming September 2009.
