whatsup, newschoolers ?!
We present to you our first urban video with this new crew from Vars in France.
Everyone in the crew had a full-time job last year so finding time to film all together was not so easy. It also was the first year filming urban for most of the guys. Still we are stoked on how much we got done and couldn't be more optimistic for the future of this crew!
We are taking this shit seriously next year so stay tunned!
“Lights, Camera, Action!" is the second film in Sideshow's new trilogy. Takuya Ishida and Daisuke Ito ski on the streets and in powder, in a variety of fields.
The film focuses on the "i" of the two, who were connected in the previous trilogy. They followed each other while filming, and skied from the beginning of the season to the late spring snow season. The film captures the two skiers and their companions who pursued to "perform" at their best in front of the lens.

This is the epic journey of 3 professional freestyle skiers who embark on a wild new adventure in the arctic circle. Sarah, Giulia and Mathilde are athletes on the Swiss Freeski team who compete on the world's highest stages in slopestyle and big air. These three long-time friends and colleagues have brought home countless medals from the Olympics, X Games and World Cups. Their experiences as skiers lie overwhelmingly within the terrain park, where they have made their name and established their reputation as the world’s very best.
In this short film, these three athletes explore a new facet of skiing in the uncharted territories of Svalbard, Norway, far from the metal bars they are used to grinding on. Twin tip skis were replaced with lighter off-piste touring skis. New touring boots and tech bindings completed the gear set. Backpacks were filled with avalanche gear, crampons and ropes as the girls ascended, and skied down couloirs that have potentially never been skied before - by anyone.
We document the joy and self-doubt, the growth and uncertainty, the frustration and ultimate relief as these exceptional athletes push themselves to conquer new aspects of their day job—skiing. We bring to light the universal truth that everybody has to start somewhere, even the most revered professional skiers.
This documentary delves into the lives of Sarah, Giulia and Mathilde to showcase more than just individual triumphs. It's a celebration of the deep bonds between competitors and the tight-knit community that thrives within the world of skiing. As the girls face and conquer new hurdles, their camaraderie and support for one another become a powerful testament to the unbreakable spirit of the skiing community.
Prepare to be inspired as we delve into their hearts and minds, uncovering their unique personalities, the laughter they share, and the humanity that unites them. Through their stories and the stunning backdrop of ski touring in Svalbard, our documentary invites you to connect with some of the finest skiers in the world on a deeply personal level.

Lake Effect is a two-year Michigan ski film highlighting the joys of backyard adventure, and the shifting perspective of Mike King a professional skier, who for a decade has only sought adventure from the peaks of mountain tops in the far reaches of the West. In 2020 when Covid encouraged lockdowns &travel restrictions, Mike's life on the road came to a screeching halt. This abrupt change inspired Mike to take the hurdle as an opportunity to rediscover the unique, untapped terrain, ski culture, and the people thriving right here in his home state of Michigan. Throughout filming Lake Effect Mike realized you don't need to travel far to have an epic adventure. Rather some creativity, curiosity, and the willingness to walk out the door to the abundance that starts right in our backyards.

Keep the LINE Skis is back with their newest offering, Daydream.
This year, the Line France team came together to portray a skier’s perfect day. The day starts with the Freeride crew of Lalo Rambaud, Romain Lambert, and Noah Peizerat, who set off in the early morning hours to enjoy a beautiful sunrise over the crests and some lovely couloir descents.
From the Freeride Crew, the baton passes to Pierre Rougeot and Tom Damiani for a stylin’ run through a stone village lost in the valley.
Finally, the day ends with hot laps in the park with Théo Collomb-Patton, Marius Dunoyer, and Quentin Ladame.

Four friends from four distinct countries joined together for a hectic street mission in the even more distinct country of Poland. Here they spent 9 long days and nights in search of snow, the best spots, and the heaviest clips for their project. With help from local friends, the crew got around language barriers, difficult weather, and Polish police trying to sabotage the mission. They ended up doing exactly what they came to do.

Bucket Clips, an idea cooked up over the course of several phone calls with Rosina Friedel, returns for a second season. Supported by Newschoolers & Armada, Rosina worked to gather this exhibition of art by lesser-known female shredders and made a movie highlighting the diversity and talent in the game right now.
We are super stoked to have been able to support this project and look forward to Bucket Clips 3.0. We are changing things up a bit for next season, with some crews filming dedicated segments for the movie, but as always the movie will also be open to everyone too.

Here is what I made last season I understand that it isn't a ski movie with individual segments and stuff like that and has erratic editing and a surplus of trap music etc I just wanted to make something I would like to watch and I draw a lot of Inspo from music videos and stuff like that so I hope you like it but if not all good.
A skier contemplates his connection to skiing and the mountains. As he hurries through the streets of LA, his path takes a turn after bumping into a jazz musician who helps him discover the correlation between jazz and skiing—an expression of art, skiing, and black culture.
