Orthopedic Surgeon: How old are you again?
Me: 46
Orthopedic Surgeon: Well, you didn't hyperextend your knee, but you did strain it at Jay Peak. You should take it easy for the next 3-4 weeks and if it’s still bothering you, I can give you a cortisone shot.
Me: No problem Dr. Geary, ski season is about over now.

Day 3 of the 2019/2020 ski season: Burke Mountain 1/5/2020
We have fun on the East Coast too!
Burke Mountain was great. I got to ski with Skiology Matt from Northeast Skiology FB Group and his friend Josh and we had a blast. Still a little more snow needed in the glades to cover all the hidden objects, but it was a 6”+ powder day. Lol
It takes a certain type of crazy to ski the tight East Coast Glades. This is what happens when a 47 year old, ex-park rat, “Sends It” in those Glades.
What an amazing day it was with about 18”-20” of snow. I never thought I would be skiing like this after having ACL surgery 8 years ago.
QuaranTouring 420 Special: Backyard Ski Expedition 4/18/2020
We had a freak snow storm on Friday 4/17 into Saturday 4/18/2020. We got about 4"-5" of snow. I hadn’t used my touring setup yet this season, so I did what any skier would do in this situation. I took advantage of the snowfall and went on an Expedition and Earned My Turns.
