A fun day of filming in the park at Mammoth Mountain with Alex Schlopy this past December.
A few months ago Pete Alport designed and built two features in April for the Nike crew (Gus Kenworthy, Jossi Wells, TJ Schiller and Johnnie Paxson). The first feature at Ski Bowl was a unique chairlift feature that had options for grinding the top of the loading area support tower, jumping over the top of the turnstile as well as a quick tranny-finder hip landing. The second feature was a peace sign transfer rail set up at Mt. Bachelor that was more for stills than for video and Nate Abbott definitely got some pretty insane photos for Freeskier! This is just a taste of the footage we got and all of my best shots have been saved for my year-long video segment which will drop after the summer - be sure to stay tuned for more info on that!
One of the longest days of skiing I've ever had. Started lapping the jumps at about 7:30 and skied until the mountain closed at 4. Such a fun set up!
In April, I returned to my hometown for a photoshoot on a kicker rail I designed. I was supposed to be there filming on the feature for five days and had a whole line up of tricks I wanted to do. Unfortunately, on the first day of filming, I slipped out on the rail, hit my head on the knuckle and knocked myself out cold. One concussion, two lost teeth and three days later I went back up to hit the feature a few more times to try and salvage the last day of the shoot. The tricks I ended up getting aren't quite what I had originally hoped for but I'm happy with how the video turned out considering the circumstances!

A fun day of filming with my buddy George Knowles in the park at Breck at the beginning of January.
Over a year ago at a VW training camp in Northstar, CA I got the opportunity to get sled laps all day on a perfect jump and pipe set up. This is the footage from that day. It is the completely raw footage and some of the tricks are a little sloppy but I thought it'd cool to put all the shots together and give you a behind-the-scenes look at my first tries at some new tricks :)

Hey Guys! So, I broke my collar bone during the Dew Tour stop in Breckenridge, and since surgery I've been bored out of my mind. I was never too good with Final Cut, but I've been playing around on it a lot, and this is what I've come up with. It's a compilation of all of my footage from the '08/'09 season. Filmed by Dan Norkunas, AJ DeSaintPhalle, and Hennie VJ in association with Rage Films. As well as one cameo shot by DOS Media. Shot on location in Austria, Calgary, Oregon, Colorado, Washington, and Minnesota. A short little edit from last Sunday. Just having some fun and trying to heal up from my stupid collar bone surgery. Don't think I'm supposed to be skiing yet though. Telluride finally opened their big line (not very big) and a HALFPIPE! Which is the first time we've had a pipe in a longgg time. I'm stoked that our mountain is getting shit together...

This past fall in New Zealand, Torin got the opportunity to basically try out for a spot on the Armada team. For two weeks he skied alongside the rest of the Armada team and tagged along during a photo shoot. As I'm sure he could have guessed, he made the cut - kid slays.

First ever double rodeo off of a cannon rail! COC was super accommodating and helped set up their cannon box a lot bigger than it was before so that I could try this! Super stoked on how it turned out!
