This is my take on a ski movie, I tried to make something a bit different.
Oh, and I'm guessing some guys from Are are going to recognize themselves, sorry about not asking to put you in the movie, but I had to use the clips, the light was too great. I hope you don't mind. Feel free to give me your names, and I'll include them in the description.
Last weekend we went to Folgefonna, with perfect weather and the jump mr. olsson never got to hit open for the public. It was all right.
A small clip for the best trick contest here. Some of you might recognize it from the Skiraff teaser found at http://www.crystalprod.com
I was trying to do a disaster, but my skis didn't cooperate.
270's on, off, sex changes, and so on. The patch of snow I'm skiing on is the remains of a half-pipe. The lift closed in April.
All the snow is gone for some reason, but there's still plenty of ice to play with.
Well, it's more like a "lots-of-clips-in-a-row" rather than an edit, but anyway. The rail is 20meter/65feet, and a pain to clear. And oh yeah, I know I don't have any style on the rail. I gave that up.
This is an old edit I never uploaded because the clips were going to be used in http://www.crystalprod.com's new movie. Now that it's out, I see no harm in uploading it.
This edit is about the spiritual aspect of jumping on skis, but I wish the jump was bigger. Enjoy.
I was trying to do a zero double nose. Dennis was going for a switch backflip. The lift closed in April, but there's still a lot of snow.
A clip of me learning to spin off-axis. I tend to overcork, so I guess that makes it a d-spin? But I have a good feeling about the grab.
It's not much, but it's something. Making the best of it, I guess. Thanks to the ones who built the jump, and thanks to Lars M for making me do the nose press. It's my first nose presses, by the way.

Kickin of the season with a short edit, from a rail session at Loeren. Not a great success. But it was a good test of my new camera equipment. Consider this a preview of my 08/09 ski movie, which most probably will be made avalibe as a free download next summer.
What I've been doing this summer. The music is some of the best norway has to offer.
A 540 satety on the last jump in Hafjell's park. Pretty clean, in my opinion.
A flat box 270 on, 270 off, a kink rail disaster, a kink box 270 on, 270 off, and a one-foot. The rails didn't slide well that day. Music by Fatboy Slim.
My first somewhat successful cork attempts, as well as a 360 and a flip. It looks as if there's a bigger jump right next to the one I'm hitting, but that's just a pile of snow.
Shots and skiing by Crystalprod.com, edited by me, Lars.
If I could, I'd upload this to the Digital Art section. Watch it, and you'll see what I mean.
My first flips on skis, and some other things as well. It's very flat where I filmed it, so I had to get creative. I know I'm only landing a few tricks, but who cares when there's so much powder.
Second attempt. The idea was to underflip into a frontflip, but I underrotated the first time. So this time I went for it really hard, but all that went into more spin-rotation rather than flip-rotation. I'm certainly not going for this on snow this winter.
I wanted to test my camera last sunday, so we went to Varingskollen to make an edit. After shooting the intro, the skiing turned out to be terrible, so we had to make some changes to our plan. But I think it turned out ok. Shot with Canon HV30 and Letus35 Mini adapter.
Shot with a Canon 7D, by Lars Kurås. A small test of working with 720p50 footage, converted to ProRes 442. Exported in 25p.
Late December/early January in Varingskollen and Oslo.

The one hour it didn't rain, and the two runs where I borrowed a GoPro.
