Lyngen Alps - Sofiarenna Couloir

by vissi
Oct 2023 - 560 views

Drove 1300km from Helsinki, Finland to Lyngen, Norway last spring. Skied there for four weeks while living and sleeping in my car.

This was one of the coolest descents i had, not the best ski or biggest mountain, but one of the most exiting days for sure.

DAYDREAM | KEEP THE LINE SKIS

by Line_Skis
Dec 2023 - 556 views

Keep the LINE Skis is back with their newest offering, Daydream.

This year, the Line France team came together to portray a skier’s perfect day. The day starts with the Freeride crew of Lalo Rambaud, Romain Lambert, and Noah Peizerat, who set off in the early morning hours to enjoy a beautiful sunrise over the crests and some lovely couloir descents.

From the Freeride Crew, the baton passes to Pierre Rougeot and Tom Damiani for a stylin’ run through a stone village lost in the valley.

Finally, the day ends with hot laps in the park with Théo Collomb-Patton, Marius Dunoyer, and Quentin Ladame.

Skiing McAfee Peak, Nevada in June

by crisscross
Jun 2023 - 555 views

A truly wild adventure in the Independence Range of northern Nevada.

Private farmland and primitive barbed wire fences litter the nearby valleys, with the closest town over 50 miles south - separated by a seemingly endless sea of sagebrush and no sign of human intervention. This made accessing the mysterious zone a logistical feat: It meant sneaking through the private property in the early hours of dawn to reach the foothills. Over 14 miles of bushwhacking later, I had successfully skied the northeast chute off 10,440ft McAfee peak, and fled from the private ranch, leaving the undisturbed wonderland behind. Side note: old satellite imagery is often the only available information on these remote destinations, so to luck out with perfect snow conditions on June 17th, was just the right amount of unexpectedness. This one felt nice to make it back to the car safely, Gnarly Nevada never disappoints.

Cool fun fact, these mountains define the northernmost rim of the Great Basin, where streams off the east faces flow up through Idaho/Oregon, and water off west slopes run south until it’s trapped in central Nevada.

Some GoPro backflip clips from Loveland pass yesterday (sorry no other angles as the other camera was being used for photos). Once we get another round of snow I'll build another gap (if anyone is down!)

I make these videos for my mom so I don’t really care if you hate the song, or are butt hurt that I reused Jackson pow clips, Meg Ryan loves this shit.

Had 5 days off from work in Colorado. Clocked out Sunday night at 10pm and made it to Jackson Monday morning at 10am. Ripped solo resort laps and some hot springs then headed north to Big Sky for two days, including some pow. Then back to Jackson for a tour with Figdaddy in the national park on Thursday, deepest day of my life on Friday and back to Colorado for work at 1pm on Saturday.

Apr 2020 - 553 views

The dub backy was actually an unused angle from april last year, it didn't feel right to send one during the shutdown. But the rest is fun flowy stuff from the alta area after the shutdown, all accessed via skinning and jumps built by avy shovels.

December 2021 SO MUCH SNOW

by XC
Jan 2022 - 535 views

Fellow snow riders in the West know how AMAZING December was for us. I had some pretty great powder days here in Utah. Since then we've had quite the dry spell so here's a powder skiing edit to hold you over until the next snowfall. Here's to more snow soon! The West needs it. May Ullr bless these mountains with his steps.

The Sacred Grounds - Part Two: Connection

by Matchstick
Dec 2022 - 533 views

The Sacred Grounds short film series, presented by MARKER, takes the cast from their backyard of the southern Coast Range of BC, to the far reaches of the Northern BC/Alaska border, to the Japanese Alps, to the Columbia ranges of interior BC, to reaches of the Southern Chilcotins Mountains and beyond.

We are excited to share these adventures into undiscovered zones and 'Sacred Grounds' that hold the best possible terrain environment for displaying these riders passion for skiing. The mountains provide us with so many blessings but can also take it all away in an instant - for this respect is due, a life of dedication is needed, and a whole lot of effort is required, all of which is rewarded with the times of their lives when it all comes together.

Part 2 of the series takes us on a journey from Pemberton BC to the Japanese Alps and back to the crews original proving grounds of Whistler BC. Here we explore how our past of developing hand made skis has affected our approach to riding deep powder and steep pillows, and how the "Connection" between coastal rainforest and man can lead to the ultimate balance of peace and chaos on skis.

Part 2: 'Connection' of the Sacred Grounds film series is one you won't want to miss if stacked pillow lines, deep powder and exploring old growth snow covered forests tickles your fancy. We hope you enjoy the ride along on the journey into our Sacred Grounds.

C R E A T I N G // with Pro Skier & Engineer Giray Dadali

by DAYMAKER_TOURING
Aug 2017 - 529 views

creating is a deep, unique term as i believe all humans are creators to some extent. To Daymakers Engineer Giray Dadali (AKA mr Ahmets Brother) , creating invokes a familiar feeling in both skiing and product design, and is a beautiful thing when the two can come together and allow oneself to reach their highest potential.
