Last year, after 10+ years of competing in Slopestyle, I switched my focus to backcountry jumping. It turned out to be a good choice. By the end of January it had snowed 300 inches in Utah and all the classic hits in Little Cottonwood Canyon were good to go. It was an unbelievable season, from sessions on Pyramid and Flagstaff gap, Catskiing at Fernie Wilderness Adventures to pondskimming and partying at Lost Trail Powder Mountain in the spring. I had more great times in the mountains with amazing humans than any other season and they're memories I'll never forget. Hope ya'll dig it and get stoked to shred!!

Local legends tell the myth of a long lost man, shoulders 6 feet wide, who lives among the wildlife deep in the mountains above Fernie, BC. As the story goes, a shot from his 8-foot musket brings blankets of powder to the valley. Locals know him only as “The Griz”. Dylan Siggers among the other townsfolk has made a life of this tradition, finding purpose in the abundance of snow brought by this mythical man.

If you've ever been to Asia and eaten a rice triangle, you know that it is a delight. 2015 was a rice triangle year for me: I got married, graduated from college, filmed for level 1's movie for the first time, and traveled to Japan, Korea, Sweden, and Canada. North of nowhere, the greatest lake on Earth rules its domain. Each winter arctic gales stream south and meet the warm humid air of the lake. These storms create the world’s most powerful lake effect snows.
The vast wilderness surrounding the lake receive more snowfall than many western mountain ranges. The quiet trees see more wolves here than people. Hidden behind thickets of alders and willows lie some of the deepest ski stashes in North America.
Few find them, those who do never forget.
