On March 14, 2020, over 90% of ski resorts in America shut down in response to the coronavirus outbreak. Millions of people sighed, hung up their gear, and wearily said, "Next year, i guess..." There were a few, however, who refused to stop riding. This is their story.

The 2023 season though my eyes. Hope you guys like it!!
Bummer way to end the season but I couldn't be more stoked on everything I got done before my abrupt end. I am currently in full time rehab mode and will be back stronger than ever with big plans for next season.
After the closing of most North American ski resorts, Argentina's winter began in earnest in August. For the fourth installment in the trilogy(??), Hazen Woolson heads south of the equator with the SASS Global Travel crew chasing big lines and another big winter. Featuring Piers Solomon, Jon Conway, Pete Connolly, Mauri Cambilla and Hazen.

After an unreal first full season, seemed only right to put a couple of highlights together, HUGE shouts to the boys Adam Cooke, Luca Wasser, Jamie Ogilvie, and Justin Taylor-Tipton for repping our threads out on the hill this last year. On December 23rd, my roommates and I ventured up to the McGill area of Rogers Pass. Waiting for us was 120cms of storm snow and a really jolly day in the hills.
An awesome line in Hatcher pass a few weeks ago. We actually were able to park near the top with our snowmobiles and only had to hike about 10-15 minutes to ski this. It’s amazing how close stuff like this can be with a good group and the right tools.

A truly wild adventure in the Independence Range of northern Nevada.
Private farmland and primitive barbed wire fences litter the nearby valleys, with the closest town over 50 miles south - separated by a seemingly endless sea of sagebrush and no sign of human intervention. This made accessing the mysterious zone a logistical feat: It meant sneaking through the private property in the early hours of dawn to reach the foothills. Over 14 miles of bushwhacking later, I had successfully skied the northeast chute off 10,440ft McAfee peak, and fled from the private ranch, leaving the undisturbed wonderland behind. Side note: old satellite imagery is often the only available information on these remote destinations, so to luck out with perfect snow conditions on June 17th, was just the right amount of unexpectedness. This one felt nice to make it back to the car safely, Gnarly Nevada never disappoints.
Cool fun fact, these mountains define the northernmost rim of the Great Basin, where streams off the east faces flow up through Idaho/Oregon, and water off west slopes run south until it’s trapped in central Nevada.

March 2018 in Tahoe truly was a miracle - it came in like a lion, saving our lackluster season with big storms and massive snow totals. Filmed in one day, this film shows different groups of winter athletes accessing the same terrain without conflict.

In November 2021 I was diagnosed with epilepsy after a recurrence of seizures. After experiencing a rare allergic reaction to my first round of medication I was considered unfit to travel and compete on the Freeride World Tour 2021.However, Just because my neurologist and primary provider have to closely monitor me while we try to find the proper balance of anti seizure medication doesn't mean I still cant go out and ski around my current residence of Bozeman, MT. Thus, this season I am doing a webisode series called Balance, my pursuit to find a suitable balance of anti seizure medication while attempting to ski as much as I can. Thanks for watching.

The Dean's List 2, out this fall. Filmed on location in Colorado, Utah, and Idaho in the winter months of 2023, featuring high level skiing and a bit of snowboarding from some of the worlds best known and unknown shredders.

I didn’t hit rails, I didn’t spin, didn't hit big lines or drops... but I did come back during the season I was told I was not going to get to ski in. I had torn my acl/meniscus April 2018 and missed most of the next season. I drove back to Boston for the summer and fall to have surgery (by the same surgeon who does all of Boston's major sports teams)(((worth going back east for))) and completed the bulk of my PT at MGH and came back to CO and back to skiing during the big storm of March 2019. Luckily Colorado had a great snow season and I was able to keep it going well into summer thanks to Abasin and being in the best shape of my life from PT which brought on lots of hiking. This edit is mostly post-season BC, late abay days, choppy summer skiing and dog laps...Oh and some good times with the people who I had to struggle see shredding all season while working at the mountain but still encouraged me to work harder to get back sooner to shred with them, and that paid off. It was a hard fought victory when I first got back on skis after being told to hang them up for the season. Thanks to all that still made it an unforgettable season.

Well that was fun! This was my first time out to this zone and I enjoyed skiing it with a solid crew!
There are not many runs that make my legs burn 2/3s of the way down, but this was one of them. The temps ranged from -15 F to a high of 5 F and I don’t think my muscles ever warmed up. The snow was perfect cold smoke and felt like skiing on a cloud!
