To celebrate 10 years since Highland's first film, I came out of retirement last April and assembled some of the East Coast's top skiing talent. April Fools? Enjoy
It was hard not to shed a tear watching this after the events of today. J.P simply showed how well rounded of a skier he was in this part. From flairs in the halfpipe, from some of the earliest urban rails, and of course back country lines and booters, J.P was the boss as proved completing the loop. My thoughts and condolences to his friends and family. Here is a small piece of his legacy.

With Candide's return to the Horstman, this classic segment from PBP's 13 seems only fitting. This segment brought a whole new style and range of tricks to the sport, from McTwist's to Rodeo 720 mutes and Flat 3's. Enjoy.

With the glacier coming to a close I thought it would be fitting to upload Vinnie's segment from PBP's 13. Vinnie lands the first double grab spins, contest 900's, and lands a 360 tail over a Japanese tour bus. Enjoy.

Featuring content from Level 1's feature film "Refresh," Kyle's edits are a collection of the some of the best, and, for lack of a better term, "progressive" shots from that year. Truth be told, a couple years later, they still hold up!"

This guy is inspiring, spina bifita is an awful disease yet he has overcome it and clearly prospered. I don't often post non ski related content but this video was worthy. Enjoy.
The Blackcomb Glacier has changed alot over the past decade. Before the days of endless parks filled with hundreds of campers, massive scientifically built jumps and handfuls of rails only a few lurked the Horseman's sunbeat ice. Here is the "New Canadian Air Forces" segment from MSP's 'Sick Sense'. By today's standards it's humorous, but back then it blew our minds. Vincent Dorion does possibly the first filmed grind and Cusson and Auclair 'tuck' cross and flip their way into the history books. Enjoy and remember if you step foot up there this summer to say thanks if you catch a rare glimpse of a NCAF member.

Phil Belanger pushed the sport in so many ways in this classic segment. Throwing some of the biggest D Spins ever done off a park jump, carving off tables, sliding some of the earliest urban rails and throwing cork 9 tails in the pipe. Phil inspired style and furthered pipe riding beyond straight airs. Here is the classic opening segment of Royalty edited and filmed by Iberg himself. Note the switch 270 in to lui kang at the end. One of my favorite segments of all time. Enjoy.
Shane McConkey no doubt was a brilliant skier, but also a master of humor. Here is a 'fake' commercial from MSP's "There's Something About McConkey" (2000). I think within 48 hours of seeing this film I had bought a pair of the all metal, unbreakable Volant McTwins. PLEASE buy this film if you get the chance, it exemplifies Shane's love of life and skiing. One of the best ski films ever made. Enjoy.
Eric Pollard truly took his skiing in a different direction then his counter parts of the time. One of the first to spin and grind both ways, Eric rejected crossing his skis and trying to win contests. Here we see him grease the first legit rail line with variations and break the mold on the stock grabs. This segment gives us a glimpse into one of the best skiers of today. If you can get your hands on a copy of Royalty, I highly recommend it, it's a great film that stands the test of time and launched Iberg's career.
Found this edit on his Vimeo. Great mash up of footage from some of his classic segments (The Game, Happy Dayz, ect) Julian was a true innovator and an unsung pioneer of the sport. The only other person to throw a 360 mute at the 1998 Olympic Games, he went on to pioneer the early urban and park scene, later to focus on the back country.
Learning misty flips and rodeos would be tough at 20... Douglas was doing them before anyone in his 30's. Here he is in the first true "jib" flick innovating both in the park and the back country. Douglas is truly the Godfather. Enjoy this piece of skiing history.
Alexi was clearly born to ski. Here he is at age 13 owning everyone in Tremblant. This is Alexi's part from our first "film" "The Manifesto" (2004)... It's pretty ghetto since we didn't know how to film or edit but interesting to see the lad slay at such a young age. Enjoy.

Skogen Sprang returns to skiing after almost losing his leg in a motorcycle accident. The first to throw rodeos both ways, Skogen came back charging in this segment.

Evan Raps was the first to bring "gangsta" style to skiing. He prioritized style and his D Spin brought him competition success. His career came to an unfortunate end after ruining his knee at X Games. Enjoy.
