i would give this binding a seven, because while it served my purposes to learn how to tele ski, its no longer use full to me any more.
Performance
i have found that i both love and hate this binding. i love how it is a very aggressive and laterally stable binding, this gives me a lot of confidence when stepping up to larger jumps and rails. i hate the fact that it feels very dead during situations when you want to make turns, the activeness of this tele binding is much better suited to a park and ride skier or a parkrat.
Design
over all the design is that of a standard nordic norm telebinding, however because the nordic norm is currently being changed, binding like this will eventually be phased out.
Value
for the money this was a very good learning binding, however if i could start over i would have purchased hammerheads, as there is still alot of life in the cobras, ive just out grown their capabilities.
Characteristics
This binding is not designed to release, it is a 75mm nordic norm telemark binding.
however, set the pre-load loose enough in the tensioner springs and it will release for you.
Durability
asides from some minor scratches, you couldn't tell that i do 50+ days a season on the binding (ive had them too years)
