a camelbak is a must if you're gonna be hiking a lot. this one has just enough room for a bunch of snacks, a lot of water, and some other things. it also has alot of room on the outer part of the pack. my camera also fits (see canon ZR830 review) nicely. more space than you would think.
Performance
it has yet to have any problems for me. very durable material. no damage through a lot of east coast thick tree skiing.
Design
it is pretty small, but has more room than you would think. the 100oz reservoir holds a ton of water, enough for a day of skiing. but if you are gonna use it when its cold, you should buy the winter kit, for about $20, which insulates the tube and prevents freezing. the mp3 pocket is great and very convenient for quick access storage. i usually put my cell phone in it tho.
Value
normally, it is about 80 bucks. which is way too much. but you can always find these things on sale and i got this for $50.
