Helly Hansen Legend Pant 2012

After about 3 seasons of use, these pants are still going strong. I have been pleasantly surprised by their performance, as they are a pretty standard and simple pair of pants. HH's proprietary Waterproof/Breathable 2L membrane has done its job, even in slushy spring laps. The material does take on a bit of water once the DWR can't take anymore, but it has never wet out on the inside of the pant. The waterproof zips work well, although longer zipper pulls would be useful, especially when I'm wearing mitts. Surprisingly, I have not had any tears in the fabric thus far, despite its lightweight and non-ripstop material. The zoned insulation in the butt is perfect, not making me overheat but helping on chairlifts and during my abundant time spent on my ass in the snow. Overall, a great workhorse ski pant.
