Overall I'm super pleased. If you are in need of a jacket for the winter and are on a budget, give this one a look or visit obermeyer.com.
Performance
This is an excellent jacket, it's comfortable and has some great features. The pockets are plentiful and big. There is plenty of room for the iPod, phone, etc.. There is a goggle pocket in the back (which you can see on the right in the picture of the jacket's back).
This being my first Obermeyer jacket, I was surprised to discover that the liner is attached to the shell inside out. Meaning the outside of the liner when you wear it alone, faces in when attached to the shell. This makes the inside very comfortable since there are no seams, and the liner pockets are easily available!
Value
At around 300$, this jacket is an excellent choice. There are many competitors in this price range, but this one is definetely worth a look.
Fit
I ordered a Large, which fits my average build pretty well. The hood is well sized and fits well over a tuque & goggles without restricting my movement or obstructing my view.
Since this is the component jacket, it comes with a removable liner which also fits pretty well. However I wish the bottom of the liner had an elastic drawstring, wearing it alone when it's windy is kind of drafty. But it would be fantastic on a warm spring day.
Durability
This has become my regular jacket, both on and off the slopes. I've had no ripped pockets, broken zippers or faulty drawstrings. It seems this jacket will last for years to come. My brother is already asking for a hand-me-down. ;)
