Salomon has always been a reputable brand with a great product with years of experience. I own three pairs of these bindings because I got one pair then fell in love and bought them ever since. Over three years of skiing on them I have only broken 1 pair of these bindings and it was just a broken brake. A little spendy, because I bought them new, but worth every dollar. These are very durable bindings but they are very HEAVY! I have gotten used to them but they are the heaviest bindings I have ever seen or ridden on. I realize that looks on bindings are not a big deal, but for the Newschoolers that have to have their set up on point. But these are a classic looking binding, big triangle toe, and a very small heel that is almost parallel to the ski, saying that because I have had my tails crossed and manually popped myself out of my ski. The din goes up to 14 on the model I have and I have never had problems with popping out unnecessarily and I have not suffered any leg injuries (knock on wood). A binding that does everything a binding is suppose to do very well and if you can get over the weight and looks it will be perfect for you.
