Review:
This year Julbo recognized it's past with the revival of two of their most popular and historically important pairs of Sunglasses, the Cortina and the Megeve. These pairs combine the classic 1980s design with 30 years of technological advances into two great pairs of glasses.
See my profile for a review of the Cortina.
Optics
As with the Cortina, the Megeve uses the Spetral 3 CF lens. Vision is crystal clear and they perfectly block sun and glare.
Style and Fit
The lens technology of the Megeve is the same as it's Cortina counterpart, the style and fit is what makes these pairs quite different.
While the Cortina is obviously an 80s throwback at first glance, the Megeve is a much more subtle and timeless design. It's reminiscent of you're classic Ray Ban, however the lenses are distinctly more round. Think of if a a pair of Ray Bans and Aviators got busy.
In terms of fit, I'd say that these would be perfect for a very average head. The arms hug it nicely, but definitely have some flex for a larger or smaller build.
They're extremely light and I never caught them sliding down like I do with so many other pairs of more fashionable glasses.
Overall Impression
This is a great pair of sunglasses. A + on all levels
