Coolest poles I've gotten my hands on.
Design:
Odi Longneck BMX grip+bamboo pole+ cool looking baskets= a totally interesting and sweet looking pole. These poles will for sure turn heads in the liftline and rack in the compliments.
Durability:
As mentioned numerous times, bamboo's pretty dang durable, even more so than steel most of the times in parts due to it's ability to withstand cold and flex when a steel pole tends to snap. I did notice a few hairline cracks running down the pole after a few good smacks, but it doesn't seem to affect the performance of the pole very much and they still feel as solid as the day i got em.
Weight/Performance:
Well poles are poles, but these are a decent size and on average thicker than the regular ski pole. The bike grips are a nice touch as it's comfortable in your hand, but due to the added thickness the pole is also a good bit heavier than say a line pin. This weight never realyl bothered me, and it's swing weight is really not that bad, so it's fine.
Yes theyre wooden and can break. BUT it takes ALOT to break them. skied mine for about 3 months of taking some big spills, pole whacking, drifting, landing on my hip with them under me, hardpack 4 point. customer service with Tanner was amazing! what a nice guy! really cares about his customers and if they're satisfied. Theyre a little pricey, but theres an easy way to get them cheaper. PM if you're interested. overall a good stylish pole. I get compliments on them everyday.TRIBE UP
