I am one to wear a balaclava, before the le bent, it was a no name brand. The main thing I enjoyed from the le bent balaclava was the breathability of the piece. It was incredible for the warmth and comfort it provides, how breathable it is. It is made from a lighter material than your average balaclava and the material they use retains a lot less moisture.
I also enjoyed the fact that they did NOT put an irritating seam anywhere. Because the seams are relatively flat, it feels like there is almost no seam on the front at all. For some reason a majority of balaclavas I have had in the past have decided to out the seam in an awkward and/or irritating place. Le Bent actually made irritation a problem of the past. Le bent incorporated the “hinge†eyehole, which allows the user to adjust the position of the bottom section of the face mask easily and comfortably. On the way down, I would quickly move the balaclava to cover my entire lower face, and on the chairlift quickly move it all the way down for talking and/or eating.
If you were paying full price because you were having previous troubles with balaclavas, it will be well worth it in my opinion.
