Recently I bought the Orage Flight Insulator. I've been looking for a jacket that has a variety of uses, whether it be used for layering or worn over a hoodie on warmer days. Warmth is also an important factor for me. Since getting the Flight jacket, I have had all of my wants checked off.
My first impression of the jacket was the excellent look to it. Military bomber styled jackets are always a trusted option, and in green or black even moreso. After using the jacket on a variety of days, I can safely say this jacket feels bomber as well. No scuffs, rips or any other defects. Extremely warm, but worn open let's the wind flow inside and keep you cool. A perfect combination, and lets the user decide based on the temperature that day.
My only very small gripe with the piece is the wind blocker on the main zipper. I felt that it may be a little too wide, and could be made smaller for next years model. Very small complaint however, and it however does do it's job nicely.
Overall, if your looking for a cool, retro looking layering piece, I definitely recommend the Flight insulator. If I can get some pictures of the jacket in usage, I'll add them at some point or other. I rate this jacket 8.5/10. Looks great, feels great too!
