The Phunkshun Wear Double Layer Trunk is a two layer, water resistant face tube for colder conditions. It features an outer layer of stretchy polyester with a coating of DWR water repellant. The inner layer is a sweat wicking antimicrobial mesh that helps keep you dry.
I found that the mask kept me quite warm on 0 deg F days, and repelled water quite well on days where it was drizzling. Whenever I have this face tube on I am warm and dry. It is extremely warm and water resistant considering how lightweight it is.
I do have some complaints however. I found for me personally it is too tight when pulled up around my nose. Despite the tight fit, I often find it slipping down out of the position I want it to be in. Adding a neoprene head-sock would correct this issue, but there is no option for this.
If you are a fan of face tubes and have a smaller head, I would recommend this. If you have a particularly large dome, or prefer a balaclava style mask you should stay away from this particular product.
