Mine just arrived today and just wanted to throw out my first thoughts. Last year I rocked the Quest Max 130. Normally I wouldn't buy new boots in consecutive seasons, but my max's turned out to be too small.
First Impression:
It's Light. Comparing the 29.5 Pro vs a 28 Max, the Pro still feels way lighter. According to the spec sheet they are almost a full pound lighter.
Despite the lightness, the boot itself feeds sturdy. The flex feels about the same as the max (~120ish). One big difference between the two is how much easier it is to put the Pro into walk mode. This is somewhat of a concern, as I often would find after big drops my Max would end up in walk mode. This seems even more likely to happen with the Pro.
The walk mode seems to have a bit more range than the Max did. Definitely feels like more of a touring boot, while still maintaining the qualities of an alpine boot that can charge.
I'm excited to get out and ski the boot. First impression yield high hopes.
