After a few years of shredding and inevitably crashing on icy park jumps, I knew it was time to protect myself from the hip shred that would happen on slideouts. My quest for a crash short bought me to POC's offering as it looked to have the most covarage at and around the hipbones.

I wear these as a base layer underneath a pair of sweatpants, and my ski pant shells. They feel like they add a little bulk and definitely make the ski pants a tighter fit around the waist. They don't look and feel like some old man diaper though.

Protection wise they are awesome. I haven't had a bruised and bloody hip this season yet. The tailbone protector has also taken a few blows from falling onto rails and just falling onto the ground.

Great investment if you're looking to step your game up.
