I picked these skis up as a park/all mountain ski and they did a fine job at that. When I got these skis I have been skiing on rockered skied for a few years so it was a bit interesting to get back on some traditional cambered skis again. I found that on the groomer their edge to edge was respectable and were fine at speeds, but as soon as I went off piste they were way out of their element. Do not expect great performance out of these skis in powder or for landing cliffs.
In the park they worked as well as expected for a 182cm, 100mm underfoot, centre mounted ski with a medium flex. Buttering was fine on them, spinning and flipping worked well with minimal hooking on the nose or tail even though they have traditional camber.
I DID rip the bindings out of these guys skiing the park though, and combine that with a very soft top sheet, they don't seem to be the most durable skis, but I've always had a bit of scepticism for the durability of Surface - and I am very VERY good at breaking gear, so it as you will.
