I have had this coat for a whole season and it is by far the most waterproof, and most breathable jacket I have ever worn. The 3 layer goretex does a fantastic job of keeping you dry, and this coat is so breathable I dont have to take it off, even for long hikes.

This coat is a shell, and that is no exaggeration. Even on fairly warm days you will want at least two layers underneath for alpine skiing. If it is cold I would highly recommend wearing a light shoulder-season puffy coat as a mid layer, and then a thinner mid layer underneath that.

That being said, if you know that you want a light, durable, stylish, and supremely waterproof/breathable thin shell, this coat is definitely for you.

side note: this jacket has a waist gaiter, but it DOES NOT have wrist gaiters as they expect your midlayer to have a gaiter.
