*I demoed them for a day do not own*
Info about me. 5'11 220lbs. level 3 skier. Grew up on the ice coast just moved out to utah specifically brighton.
Conditions. 18" of powder and tracked out powder. Groomed surface when not in the powder.
I demoed the turbine in a 181 and wish they had the 191 for me to make a final judgment of the turbine but I will give my review based off the 181.
The turbine is on the softer side of a ski that is claimed by head to charge. I could tell by flexing them my 220lbs body was going to have some stability issues while landing with them or getting in the back seat and I did. When I went to charge on them the turbine went into a wheelie and I had to fight real hard if I got in the back seat. For a ski that head claims to be a charger it turns damn good at all speeds. I figure that this ski would not like to turn at low speed but it turns quick and dose not feel like a boat.
One special thing that I haven't felt in any other ski before was the way the turbine planed across the snow when I wasn't charging down steeps. The turbine planed beautifully on top of the snow. The fact that they planed so beautifully really makes me want to try a 191 to see if it makes up for the stability issues I had.
I would HIGHLY recommend the turbine in a 181 for someone 50lbs lighter then me and shorter than me. I would imagine the turbine would hold up very good and could handle what ever you throw at it.
