I actually had the 2011 version, but my mate had the 2012, its basically the same ski.
My first ski so was good to learn park with, lightweight, decent pop and flexy. Was fine all mountain, rode a little powder with it, coped ok.
Theres a reason why its such a cheap ski though, its because its made cheaply. My edges are cracked, base gets scratches easily and its cap wall construction so its taken a few good chunks out the side of the ski. In addition, its not full twin tip and its not symetrical, which means i wasnt able to centre mount it properly
rode these skis for 2 years, super lightweight and flexy but not too durable
Ratings:Great overall ski! I bought these a little longer and put a traditionally mounted binding position on them. Great all mountain compromise! I can even ski pow with these! Zero camber under foot, rocketed tip and tail for easy switch ups and they're light and easy to pop and swing.
Ratings:Overall, the K2 press 2012's have been a great ski to me the last couple years. i have never had a problem with them and have skied all kinds of terrain on them. Of course them being more of an all mountain ski then a pow ski they weren't to great in the "steep and deep" but they managed fine and are still a gnarly ski to ride in any condition. When it comes to the park, the ski holds up very well. After beating them up pretty hard, smacking them on rails and walls and bending the tips to oblivion attempting nose butters, there was no major frame damage and will be ready to kill their third season in the park.
