I got these on sale for $250, and they fit my feet like a glove straight out of the box. I am extremely lucky, especially since I have slightly wider than average feet.
The flex felt progressive, and never felt too soft or too stiff for me, and I never noticed the lack of a top strap. Feels the same as the Bosses I now ride, which do have a top strap.
I tend to have a playful style of riding, and these handled that just fine. Basically never had any problems with comfort or performance.
The only issue was durability. The snow cuff, which is the orange plastic piece underneath, ripped almost in two on one boot after not quite two years of use. I was a bit disappointed, but Dalbello randomly hooked me up with a free pair of Bosses they had lying around. So that was awesome.
Overall
A really good boot for a fair amount of $$. The flex is just where I want it (I ride all mountain) and the feel is great. My heel stays in place while riding switch and doing presses. The 3 buckle system works really well for this. Even if you don't buy it, the 3 buckle system is the way to go. Plus you can adjust the buckles and tighten/ loosen the fit. Over all, I'm reallyhappy with it. My foot not longer feels like its in a weird insulated plastic rubber boot. Buy them
Performance
yeahhh
Design
feel is perfect. Look is sick. Mine are the green, yellow, and white boots.
Value
yes! these boots are great
Fit
Perfect fit. I'm a size 11.5 so I got the 29.5 size. I can wiggle my toe, but my foot isn't sliding around. What's really great about this boot is that my heel doesn't lift up, so I can ride switch and do nose presses all day.
Characteristics
The flex is great. Stiff enough to provide support, but also soft. No shin bang what so ever with these. I believe its a 90 flex, plus there's an flex adjuster on the back
Durability
well so far. It seems durable.
