I give em a 9, mainly because of the peeling of some of the grip, but other than that they are a great pipe glove.
Performance
Grip. They have the best grips ever! the palms are the stickiest of any gloves i've ever used. they also have a goggle scraper on one thumb in case you get water or ice stuck on your goggles. They're not all that warm, but they're pipe gloves so thats to be expected.
Design
in terms of looks, they're awesome. the design is super cool, with faces of many premier freeskiers on them. they come in 3 colors, black on black, aqua on black (in the picture), and purple on black. also, when you put your knuckles together, they spell out "empire"
Value
well 40 bucks is what they go for on the empire site, but i got them at the dew tour for 25, which i thought was great. as pipe gloves go 40 seems standard, if you can get them on discount its absolutely worth it.
Fit
i chose the larges but i tried on both medium and xl. don't be fooled when you try on the gloves, because after a few runs they expand at least one size. if you buy them and they feel a little too snug, take a couple runs and they'll be perfect.
Durability
the actual glove is holding up great, but some of the grips, especially on the tips of fingers and thumbs peeled off. this is probably from grabs and such as your edge scrapes it off. oh well, they still work and the big E is still grippy.
