Overall
I am completely converted from regular shape/camber park skis! I really love the performance of these skis. I felt like I was opened up to a new side of skiing I hadn't seen before the first day I rode them. I can't get the smile off my face!
Performance
I LOVE this design!!! I blew them off for many years because I did not see how these features would work well in a ski that wasn't made for powder. I wish I was less stubborn and tried a pair sooner!
Turn initiation is effortless. I have never had as much control over my skis as I do with these. When skiing down steep mogully/choppy runs, I have amazing control over exactly where I want the ski to turn, and how much pressure I want to deliver. They never fight back.
On rails they shine once again. The light swing weight and early rise make all my rail tricks come around much more consistently.
I was weary of how they would perform on jumps, but again I am impressed. They still get just as much, or not more, pop than any other ski I've ridden. Forward landings are still stable and controlled. Sometimes switch landings would feel slightly more squirly, but not by much. Switch take offs are a bit more buttery and catch-free due to the tip shape which I definitely like.
Design
Honestly, I do feel like the elf shoe technology can look a little goofy, but with how great this ski performs, I couldn't care any less what the hell they look like! I'm having too much fun when I'm riding them!
Value
I picked up a used pair for cheap, because I wasn't sure if I would love or hate the "weird" design. But I will definitely be picking up a new pair once these die on me.
Fit
I am 6ft tall and the 182cm feels just about right.
Characteristics
The flex works great with the ski. It is still able to rail turns, even though the running surface is shorter than a regular camber ski. I feel plenty of support on jumps and an high speeds. But, they are also still playful. You get the best of both worlds: The ability to rail an edge like a stiff ski, and the playfulness and effortless control of a soft ski.
Durability
As is always the case with Armada, the ski is build very well. I have ridden Armada skis in the park for many years now and love their durability. Even though my pair is older and used, I still expect to ride them for a while before I need new skis.
Great ski but top sheet is pretty fragile
