Overall
Overall a good film but the segments could be longer. Gagniers, Favres and Bibbys section are excellent though.
Design
It's wellshot and the graphics very good but too much time has been spent on them in relation to the skiing footage.
Value
I'd say it's still fairly good value for money.
Quality
As well made as a DVD can be as regards to packaging and a scratch free disk.
Filming-wise it's the same high-quality Plehouse quality with well shot footage, good visuals and a good soundtrack that fits the skiing well.
Content
The rider segments were good with some good footage but all are far too short, most apart from Gagniers don't even fill one full song. It'd be good to see more footage for each rider, some of the B-footage from the extras would definately be good enough. Far too much time seems to have been spent on the Skimatic concept and graphics rather than the skiing footage.
Saying all this it's still an enjoyable film to watch and it gets me pumped up for skiing which a good film should.
Stand out segments for me would be Favres, Bibbys and gagniers, the rest are fairly average.
Overall
go buy this ski movie.. right now.
Design
The DVD layout was great..
Movie - (movie)
Chapters - (list of all the skiers and the segment for lebanon)
Bonus - (Variety of bonus features, most edited by LP)
Value
Steal.. hands down. (pre order was an even better steal)
Quality
Favourite movie of 06 so far. The filming is great, the skiing is remarkable, and the editing tops it all. Release date was right on par for what they said, no delays, and for the price its well worth an addition to your ski movie collection.
THIS IS A MUST SEE!
Content
everything was great.. all i could complain about was the length. 29 minutes.. But i guess its better to have a full action packed 29 minutes then a drawn out 45 minute ski movie.
