Happy valentine's Day everyone. Hopefully you've got someone on this fine February 14th. If you don't have someone, I hope you have good snow. If you don't have good snow well... I'm sorry... but at least you've got rewind to catch you up on all the cool ski-related happenings this week! So let's jump right in.

___

Let's start out with some awesome blue name action from @Chillcox . Could someone get this guy an orange name already? "License to Chill" definitely is a pretty chill edit. Cool tricks, big jumps, and deep snow. What more could one want?

If you like the bunch and house music why not combine them? @TheBunch did exactly that this week with "B-Mack Cityskiing." Some great clips, good tunes, and some bars from B-Mack himself. Ski music vids may just be the next hot trend in skiing. It'd be interesting to see what other skier-musicians are out there. Maybe slumdog illionaire with Simon Dumont lyrics? I know I'd watch that.

@Seamus_F dropped some street clips this week as well. Seamus absolutely tortured some rails in this 95-second cut. It's short, dirty, and worth a watch. It has one of the craziest disasters 2s I personally have ever seen and is reminiscent of the golden era of park and urban.

@swisssteeze wrote an amazing article this week titled The Era of the Homegrown Ski Movie. Swiss brings up some great points and interesting questions about what ski movies have been, where they are now, and where they are going. "Now, with Instagram, anyone with a smartphone and an internet connection can create and publish their own video content. The sheer enormity of content now available carries with it a question, a question that not just the ski world is wrestling with; if high-quality content is everywhere, and if high-quality content is free, how can you possibly ask people to pay for what you’re producing?"

For all of your Valentine's day needs check out Valentines Day Cards for Skiers by the skier artist extraordinaire @cydwhit . It may be a little late to send them to anyone, but you can admire them and pretend someone sent them to you.

Finally, @theabortionator wrote another article that you're bound to relate to in some way or another. I think Borty does a great job at putting the things we all think and feel into words. I Should Have Been Somebody is a perfect example. "You can't control where you were born, where you grow up, your parent's ability to send you to summer camps. You do have the ability to make the best of it, better yet embrace it and let those little quirks and challenges add some spice to who you are. Everyone is different, everyone has their own challenges and opportunities. All you can do is get out there and make the best of yours."

Alright, just a little more housekeeping here before I log off. It's not too late to go vote on who has the best style for the 2021 Newschoolers Awards so make sure to go to this link to support and vote for the illest skiers out there. Nominees are also out for Outstanding Video Projects and Best Short Video. Check it.

Other than that, have a great week and stay safe out there.
