Snowbird spring riding 2022/ 4frnt review
Here a few clips I threw together..
at some point I mentioned I’d throw together an edit reviewing the 4frnt devs… well I’ll keep it simple
I skied the 186cm 2021 version mounted at -2.5cm from dead center
Im 6 2” and weigh 175
had the Salomon sth 16s on them
my qualifications to give professional review
-I road them
- I can make a good bowl of oatmeal
-this ain’t a professional review
I mean this sincerely in saying it’s the best ski I’ve ever ridden… but what does that mean?
Well here’s my two cents
for the resort only skiing I do, the width was a good balance. worked well on rails and anything snowbird or alta could give ya
the ski was fairly stiff and can bomb top to bottom of great scott with a comfortable amount of stability ( hit 70mph),
the skis can pivot quickly … you can throw these side ways at any speed which makes quick nimble turns really fun. Also good for butters.. nice and snappy
Rocker-flat-rocker profile makes the ski float incredibly well, y’all will call me crazy but compared to bentchetler 120s mounted at the same point, the devs floated better.
They held up. Bases are tough and held up reasonably well. The sides of the top sheet seemed to get chipped faster than usual, but the damage was nothing more than cosmetic
take aways
- if you want a fairly stiff twin tip to charge through variable snow, this is a legitimate option to consider
-graphics are the best in the game imo
-if ya only ski in bounds and need a “ one ski quiver”, the devastators are worth considering
nothing really bad to say about them.. just a quality ski for resort ripping
nice work to the guys at 4frnt
