We interviewed Charlie Cultrara, the man behind the Newschoolers animated series "Mashed Potatoes." Charlie has a knack for creating short, accurate, and humorous animations depicting the ski industry and its surrounding culture. We were inspired by Charlie's creativity and thus, we hired him to create advertisements for our summer 2014 campaign. Within this article is both an interview with Charlie and some of his work. Athlete Jake Doan recently teamed up with Matt Mileski to create a ski edit at Brighton Resort. Unlike your typical park edit, Matt's edit is to original music created by Jake. We caught up with Jake recently and talked about his ski season this year and the creative parallels existing between music and skiing.
Heff spent this past summer out at Mt. Hood. Heff had a bad leg break last fall. Its good to see him coming back strong going into next year. We are pumped to keep working with Heff, kids got some talent. Big thanks to Oliver Hoblitzelle for putting together Heff's edit.
Jake Doan has been skiing with us since we began in June of 2011. Jake is a very fun skier to watch. He's got a creative style that is refreshing to see. We are excited to have Jake on board with us again this year. He will be working with our other Utah based athletes and media contributors to show more of his talent.
Colin is an East Coast based athlete who we have been working with for about a year. He has plans to move to Utah next year to continue pursuing his ski career.
Get to know Kevin Frank a bit better. Kevin is one of our athletes who is based out of Calgary. This past winter he traveled, skied, and filmed around Canadian resorts with a group of friends. Check out Mega Trip: BC for a look at Kevin's 2012/2013 season.
