What better way to decide where to ski while the resorts are congested with holiday traffic? Simple... Throw a dart at a map of your local mountain range and see where it takes you. You may stumble across a hidden gem or just end up in a 7-Eleven parking lot. Ya never know.
Although the dart landed in a resort, we still managed to get out of the ski area boundaries and into the backcountry. Due to foggy skies and weak snowpack, we were unable to access the pin-pointed destination. We played it safe and skied the trees. The Canyons Resort received roughly 8 inches overnight and made for a surprisingly fun day. enjoy

Indulge on the finer details of how a turn radius effects the way your skis ski. This is a tool all manufacturers list as a performance contribution to how one ski will differ from another. One point missed in this presentation is how a turn radius is calculated. Its the distance a ski requires to make a half circle when pressure is applied evenly along one edge. 25M radius = roughly 75 wide turn.
