Other than the HB122, Karl's Reckoner, Catamarans if you can find them.

The pettitor was pretty similar, still noodles and had a lot of rocker with a bit of camber.
The new reckoner looks promising, i know people that swear by the 112.

cndrOther than the HB122, Karl's Reckoner, Catamarans if you can find them.


I would have to disagree on the catamaran, it was a really soulless ski imo. It floated well in powder but didn’t want to play around, felt like i had to force the ski. Pretty stiff too.

Yeah if youre seriously looking for something like the hellbent, just get the HB122. Its an exact clone.

Unfortunately, the days of ridiculously fat, rockered, and soft skis has largely come to an end.


Old Ghost Chants (not ghost trains, they gained some stiffness), Pollards Opus, and Pettitors would be good options if you are facebook/craigslist hunting.

If you’re down with some shorter lengths these guys still have a few different hellbents left. last time I contacted them they weren’t shipping to the states so depending on on where you’re located you may be able to get them you know someone in Europe

I've never skied them but that ski hit the market in the mid-late 2000s when nothing like it had ever been seen and I'm sure it's a blast in pow

It was also a massive canvas for Ryan Schmies to paint a crazy looking graphic on in a time where graphics on skis were mostly small and bland

So....people remember it very fondly as a super fun pow ski and cool new thing
