migidimigiSabre has Goretex pro and Rush has Gore tex most rugged which are thicker and more durable fabrics than the "basic" goretex beta jacket uses. Also the cut and features are different making the beta more usable for everyday use. You can ski in beta ofc but it's not designed to be just a skiing jacket like the sabre & rush are.
If you go do multi-day backcountry adventures with climbing and stuff the super expensive jacket might make sense for you but for resort skiing having which ever wind & waterproof jacket you like is more than enough.
It's the same as pivot18, if you need to ask, you probably don't need them.
yungskiggawhat about Beta AR. Would you classify that as a ski jacket?
GromSo would the Alpha work for skiing in the same way that the Sabre and Rush do, even though it is classified for alpine climbing?

Do not love any of the rush or sabre colors right now.
