tried a couple dubs this season but always came up short on the second flip. What is the best size jump for dub rodeo 9

You can do a dub off of any jump if you go fast enough

Depends on the type of jump and how kicky the lip is and how long/steep the landing is

Rather than size, I think it’s better to look at how much time you spend in the air. As far as dub backies, I’ve figured from timing vids of other people doing dubs that you need about 1.5-2 seconds of air time to get around two flips. In my own videos I got two flips around in a little less than 1.5 because I was sketched out and tucked really fast. I’m just using the stop watch on my phone so it’s pretty imprecise but bottom line I would recommend trying dubs on a jump were you have more than 1.3 seconds of air time. Of course, dub rodeos are different for dub backies so u might have to find that number for yourself

It's hard to say in feet or in general.

As far as distance jump styles vary a bunch.

A steeper stepover park jump at 40 feet you can float a dub around. A mellower flat cheese wedge stepdown you might be hucking to get it around on a 45.

Something lofty is def more ideal. But yeah man, there no definitive answer to this. Just hit the jump and feel it out in your head if it's right for you.

From what I’m hearing from the park crew manager is that he is trying to get a 60-65 footer built after we close that I’d be invited to

For real though, airtime matters more than size. I watched your vid and yeah that jump was too small but it was also pretty flat. Stepovers/stepups would be perfect to learn on but they are pretty rare these days.

more about takeoff angle. look at aerials. those mf's flip 4 times and only travel 20ft down the hill

I feel like I've seen dubs on jumps similar to the size om your insta.
Kid at my hill did a dub front on a jump that is around 20ft lip to knuckle. Definitely more dependent on loft than just distance.

You can trip something that size depending on build. So yeah if jump rides thats 100% big enough to dub
