Spring skiing

What are yours thoughts on spring skiing? I like it a lot because theres warm weather, less crowds, and the slush is kinda nice

For the Midwest, you can kiss your snow goodbye. Season doesn't last much longer once it hits 40 degrees here..

Love It. If I get lucky sometime the resort will groom when they shut down or leave jumps up. And I can hike from late April to the end of may. Go build jumps and hips and stuff. Plus bluebird spring days just bring the vibed

Packable easy building snow + the homies getting bored with the backyard rails we've been hitting all year = goofy jibzilla-type setups and all-time sessions. Spring skiing is the best.

Spring skiing is the shit. Skiing steep angle corn, hitting a slushy park, chugging beers with sunglasses and hoodies on. Then topping it off with beers and a grill. Love spring skiing
Edited to say in Tahoe you can go to the beach after. Even better.

People are always the most sendy in spring conditions around here. Doesn’t hurt to fall unless you have exposed skin. Don’t freeze on lift

Ice in the morning, slush in the afternoon. Snow gets totally cut up and bumpy.
Don't bring it to Bachelor, way too many people. Now with the virus, and having to get a parking reservation it's going to suck hard and become a superspreader event!

Spring skiing fucking rules. Less traffic, less snowy roads, fewer lines, lots of open terrain, safe(r) backcountry, best time to try new stuff since if you get hurt hopefully can heal up before the following year, the sun feels amazing, skiing in a t-shirt or flannel is amazing, drinking in the parking lot with the homies. It rules.

Also, you get that re-energized love of skiing because you know it is coming to an end. I always am super hyped in December but the terrain just isn't there. Then by like Feb. I am a little burned out of the grind. Come late-march its like DAMN this is gonna be over in a couple months and the stoke gets back to an all time high.

Spring skiing in Alberta is insane, Sunshine stays open until late May and the park and windlips all over the resort combined with soft slush are so much fun. March also brings a couple storms most years.

I bought the first ikon pass. Skipped classes and drove down to mammoth from Tahoe the next day. This was spring 2018 so the season prior to Ikon card rollout. You had to get individual passes from each resort on Ikon for spring riding.

Then I got my ikon pass in the mail and used it in Colorado when I moved there. Fast forward to summer 2019 and I’m in NZ and use my Ikon pass at remarkables resort and Coronet Peak.

Fucking hell, never got use out of a pass like that. April 2018 to August 2019.

The glacier is in progress, might not be june this year but we’ll be skiing far into may for sure. There was talk of not making the snow this year but they’re going through with it as far as I know, the snow has been piling.

Can’t beat east coast spring skiing. Spring park laps, spring bumps, and spring trees if there’s still enough coverage in the glades all hit different. Also everyone’s usually in a better mood by then so it makes everything better.

I wish I grew up in the era of baggy neon clothes shitty pop and hard ass hip hop. Everywhere had pipes, big jumps and sketchy ass 6ft tall rails.
