TRVP_ANGELIm going beyond newerwave by buying old kodak max through obscure camera hobbyist forums and filming them by tap/spin as fast as possible and then stitching it all together on the pc

BJ2112bruh thats like 5 fps
aaronKalatI’d rather work through a captured tape in editing than 100 individual files.
weastcoastiPhone footy for the win. iPhones record some good ass video. You can film the shakiest line ever and it will smooth it out. Plus it’s easy to zoom in and out and easy to view the shot right away. Plus it’s practical: you just throw it back in your pocket when you’re done filming.
Nobody can film with the old cameras like the Vishnu boys. They make it look good but anyone else who does it, it looks like a shitty job done IMO.
aaronKalatArgument is moot. It’s all up to personal preference, influences, and what is actually better for your workflow. I’d rather work through a captured tape in editing than 100 individual files. I find shooting on a camcorder style camera is better for capturing moments. Plus death lens over aspherical fish every time.
eheathSo you'd rather capture 100 clips via a tape than copy/paste 100 files from an SD card? Maybe you do something different, but to me that is 10x as much work if not more.
aaronKalatLike I said, it’s a preference thing.
I find it beneficial watching through the clips again during a capture. I like timestamping clips as I do so, and then working through the footage on a timeline.
There is no right or wrong way to produce video.
Editing through HD clips is probably efficient as hell if you are making the same glidecam video for the hundredth time. Is efficiency all that matters when it comes to creating videos? I sure as hell hope not.
DMSpenceMost Modern "Vintage" Edits, at least professional ones. Are filmed with modern pro camera equipment, and they use something like Trapcode Universe or Trapcode Magic Bullet for the color and look.

twea.kerHD footage is aesthetically boring.
eheathPlease elaborate on this, I'm curious what you have to say.

skiswerveIt all comes down to that raw look that skiiers and skateboarders chase with a vx, its all bullshit hype trying to recreate the 90's while hd is way easier to use and gets the shot done just ass good if not better
