Good edits using drone mounted follow cams?

A lot of u.s. resorts are on federal land and it’s illegal to use drones on federal land (mainly because it makes hunting too easy I presume) so resorts are quick to shut it down. Also, resorts want money so they charge you for a permit. Candide seems to have a good amount of instagram shots with a follow drone

imo all drone shots are wack except for the ones in numinous

IMO a follow cam with a good gimbal and a good skier is better than a drone.

only the FAA controls the airspace. As long as your takeoff and landing is performed in a legal spot/s and you don’t enter NFZ then you’re in the clear. I discourage anyone to do this if they’re going to break laws and be a jackass since that’s what’s ruining droning currently, but if you have your part 107, talk with the employees and be reasonable about it its possible to capture what you need. I did a resort park test flight last winter and definitely want to explore it further with duel operator shots (one person pilots and one controls the camera separately)

also OP I shot all the “normal” drone stuff (single operator) for SuperUnknown XV and there’s plenty of action shots in the three recaps. Basically anything where the horizon line stays strait

After my roommate had about 2500 bucks worth of camera gear stolen a few months ago he said he wanted to just get a drone cause his insurance check wouldn't be worth any sort of real camera (idk about that still) and wants a drone instead since he works with Kyle Decker who uses his a lot and could potentially use it for his own freelance stuff. I was kinda skeptical on a park edit of only drone shots but seeing some of this edit with drone work, it would actually look pretty good, do you know if Park City has any issues with drones at least down low in the parks?

as long as it’s used properly in addition to great ground footage I think it can be awesome, it’s very easy to cross the line of too much drone when shooting action sports though
