HotterTeaserSo I have been doing backflips at the lake all summer, at the pool off the diving board, and just lately into a pile of snow off a picnic table. I have done great off of cliffs at the lake and the diving board, but I have been having a rough time getting all the way around off the picnic table. I wanna take my talents to the hill this winter, but am nervous. Any suggestions? I also seem to have a hell of a time registering what is happening when I flip I just do it, is that normal? Post videos of your own backs to! Thank you!
Minggdo it on a tramp. you have more air time and you can lay it out more than doing a back tuck off a platform. Platform and tramp also have different sets and doing a backie on skis has more of a tramp set. You have wayyy more air time and it just feels more like a tramp backie in my opinion.
You just have to send it. For me, what helped was as I approached the take off, I followed the kicker with my arms and once I got to popping my arms were up, I was leaning back and I just had to let it flow. Honestly you just have to commit and do it. It's very easy once you get past the mental block.
Here was my first attempt ever onto an airbag:
